Dive masters are professionals who help others go underwater. They lead organized and recreational dives. The dive master qualification is required for all divers who have supervisory or guide responsibility in many countries. It is not possible for everyone to become a diving master. If you have the right qualifications you can become a diving master. Here are some of your benefits as a dive master.
Dive master job description
What is the job description for a dive master? In short, it involves a variety of duties, including assessing the risks of diving, supervising customer dives, delivering briefings and leading groups through a dive. Divers can also have a variety of job descriptions. A dive master may be responsible for several different aspects of a dive shop, including the general operation and social media presence.

Scuba instructors can teach and supervise divers in open water and swimming pools. They also supervise activities that are not related to training, such as navigation exercises. Open water instructors will lead students on the tour portion of the dives. These include the navigation exercise, and the surface swim portion. The job description of a dive instructor may also include directing certified divers through a scuba review course. The legal responsibility of dive instructors varies from country to country. A waiver can be signed by a dive instructor to exempt them from legal liability in certain countries.
Certification requirements
You will need to complete a course if you want to become a divemaster. Divemaster training covers topics like setting up a site, managing divers, conducting diver flows, and finding dive flow. A minimum of 60 dives must be logged in order to qualify. Divemasters can also help new divers with their theory and skills by assisting the instructors on dive courses.
In addition to taking courses, Dive masters must pass a two-part examination. Candidats must score at most 75% for each section of the exam to pass it. Candidates will need to use the PADI Instructor manual and the electronic RDPML for the exam. Students must also prepare an emergency aid plan and do five waterskills exercises. The combined scores must be at least fifteen. After completion of the course, divers must obtain certification.
Internship requirement
You have many internship options for becoming a Divemaster. Depending on your preference, you can assist with other PADI Courses or set up dive sites. Skill circuits may also require you to help. There will be a consistent pattern to your internship. An average internship lasts eight weeks. During this period, you may be able to become an Advanced Open Water Diver. After four to five weeks of training, it is possible to become a Divemaster, Dive Guide, or Divemaster.

You may also be able to find a free internship for Divemasters in addition to paid internships. Even though free internships may not be ideal, they will allow you to get valuable advice and study from a Divemaster. Your internship may include the opportunity to obtain manuals and certification as well as equipment. Be aware of all requirements before you sign up for any Divemaster course.
