Choosing the right dive regulator

diving supplies

A regulator is used to control the breathing gas pressure for divers. Although this is usually the case, regulators can also regulate pressures for other gases that are used while diving. The second stage of a regulator for diving can be called the alternate stage. Attached to the tank of the diver is the regulator cylinder. It allows the diver's to breathe underwater.

Scuba regulators

Scuba regulators are an essential part of a scuba diving system. They control the air flow to the diver and allow him or her to breathe easily. They also allow for air delivery to be stopped or started under water. A purge button allows the diver, in an emergency, to drain the regulator and release air.

Alternate Second Stage

A diver's regulator has two distinct parts: the primary stage and the alternate second stage. The primary stage delivers air to the diver while the secondary stage replenishes it. The alternative stage can either be a less-efficient or better performing model. Although it can serve the same purpose as the primary stage but is less effective, it can be just as efficient.

Balanced regulator

The Balanced diver regulator is a flexible and efficient scuba dive regulator that delivers diving gas with minimal effort. It is a great choice for all diving environments due to its progressive design and high quality materials.

DIN valves

When selecting a dive controller, one of your most important considerations is the valve type. You will typically find two types of valve: Yoke valves or DIN valves. An O-ring on a Yoke Valve fits into a threaded fitting on the tank’s valve. A DIN valve, on the other hand, has an o-ring that fits into a threaded connection on the regulator's first stage.

Swivel joint hose adaptor

Divers will appreciate the versatility of a swivel-joint hose adaptor to their dive regulator. It makes it easy to route the regulator's hose in an efficient manner, and helps reduce jaw stress. You can also share air with your buddy. These accessories can be used in a few seconds and should be washed off after each dive.

Protective regulators

There are many options for environmentally sealed dive regulators. These regulators are excellent for cold water divers due to a number of advantages. One of the benefits is their corrosion resistance, which can also be achieved by using zirconium in place of brass. In addition, many of these products feature a factory fitted environmental seal and a large purge button. Some even come with a limited lifetime warranty.
