Bob Hollis
Bob Hollis, a pioneer in the diving industry and a local legend, is a member of International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame. Hollis began diving in the 1950s, and he became interested in underwater photography. This new hobby required specialized equipment. Hollis, who holds an engineering degree, developed his own housings to fit underwater cameras. Hollis started Anchor Shack, an underwater camera store in Hayward (California) in 1965. Soon, he started to get mail orders for the housings.

The Hollis Scuba Oceanic brand has become one of the most famous and well-known names in Scuba Diving. The company was founded by Bob Hollis back in 1972 and has been synonymous with high-quality scuba equipment. The company's products include rebreathers, dive computers and novel diving masks with heads-up displays. They are also responsible for the development of military diving gear, including the MK-25 used by US Navy Navy frogmen as well as other naval work divers.

Recalled dive computers
Hollis has recalled two dive computers. One of the flaws in them can lead to drowning. A faulty air flow control system in the recalled dive computers could lead to a diver losing control of their underwater breathing. These dive computers sold for an average of $1200 between November 2010, and July 2012. For repairs, the units can be returned either to the manufacturer or to a dealer.

Hollis' Scuba Warranty protects you investment by making sure that the equipment meets or exceeds your expectations. You can use it for recreational diving, provided you maintain it well. Hollis can exchange your equipment or provide a refund if there are any problems. This warranty does not include shipping and handling fees. Also, your warranty will not apply if you use the equipment for military or other commercial purposes.
