PADI's Specialty Emergency First Response CFC (EFR+CFC), training course is designed for individuals who may be required to provide first aid in emergency situations. This course also serves as a refresher course for those with some experience and a desire to update their skills.

Course content

EFR is a great course that will increase your confidence and help you deal with medical emergencies. This course covers basic procedures in emergency care. Participants can practice these skills in a relaxed environment. Self-study materials, video demonstrations and quick reference cards are all included in the course materials. It also meets the requirements for professional ratings and the PADI Rescue Diver course.

The course content includes learning CPR, rescue breathing, scene assessment, and basic first aid. Common diving injuries can also be treated during the training. This includes learning how to bandage, splint, and prevent infection. Students also learn how protect themselves against dangerous pathogens. This course teaches you how to save lives and respond to potentially life-threatening situations.

Pre-requisites

The PADI Emergency First Response course is a one-day program that focuses on teaching participants how to respond in time to a life-threatening medical emergency. The program includes classroom theory and skills development as well as real-life scenario practice. There are no age or pre-requisites required.

Upon successful completion of the EFRI program, students are eligible to sit for the PADI Instructor Examination. Each course begins with the prefix EFRI, and is numbered sequentially. Each course lasts 1 hour. This includes 55 minutes of class, and five breaks.

Refresher Course

For people looking to improve their skills, the EFR Refresher Course was created. The course is divided into two parts: a Skill development session and an Exam. Although the EFR Instructor Manual recommends that the refresher course be taken as an optional component of the full EFR course. The refresher course provides the opportunity to learn about the latest developments and techniques in CPR/first-aid. Additionally, you will learn how to use an AED. You will also learn how you can instruct others to perform these skills when needed.

This course will help you to improve your skills and prepare for the PADI Rescue Diver course. It also fulfills the requirement for Professional Rescue Diver courses and other courses that involve CPR training. It includes an Emergency First Response video, which assists participants in preparing for emergencies and previewing the skills they will be practicing during the skills training session.

Cost

The half-day Emergency First Respond course teaches skills needed in emergency situations. It includes classroom lessons, video presentations, role-play scenarios, and CPR, first aid, and AED use. This course is an integral part of PADI certification. It also fulfills prerequisites for many courses. It costs approximately 6,900 THB per participant. This fee includes the PADI certification fees for two years and the training manual.

PADI Emergency First Responder will teach you CPR and rescue breathing, as well as how to assess and monitor the condition of victims. It also teaches you how to administer first aid to a variety of common diving injuries. Other topics covered in the course will include bandaging, splinting, and protection from pathogens.
