There are a variety of free diving schools around the world. Each offers a different experience. It is possible that you are looking for a program which will enhance your diving skills as well as increase your enjoyment. This article will present a list of the top free schools for diving and details on their programs.

FFII Free Diving Federation

You can enroll in a freediving class offered by the FII federation if your goal is to become a certified Freediver. These courses are available for beginners and more experienced freedivers. This course includes both academic and practical freediving skills training. It's designed in order to teach you how to safely and legally dive to depths below 20 meters. The FII also offers a range of specialty courses that are for more experienced freedivers.

During the introductory course, you will learn the basic skills needed for freediving. There are three types of free diving you will learn: dynamic swimming, open water diving and static apnea. Safety procedures will be covered and you'll learn the importance of buoyancy.

Federation for RAID-free diving

RAID free diving was initially founded as a SCUBA dive agency. In 2014, however, the organization expanded its scope to include many other courses. It is now a fully digital organisation with a strong ecological mindset. RAID offers online training that is free and completely free. You will also find more water than the theoretical hours in these programs, which makes them more interesting and provides a better learning experience.

RAID's online learning program is not the only thing that RAID offers. RAID also offers a free-learning app. The RAID LearnToScuba app lets instructors and students sign off on completed in-water skills. An indicator is available to confirm completion of the course. Members can log their dives online as well as offline. The logs are synced automatically with their member profile.

Apnea Total is a free diving school

Apnea Total's free diving school offers great opportunities to learn how to freedive. They have a relaxed attitude towards freediving education, and the courses are usually cheap. They don't have theory sessions or long classroom sessions, and they focus on doing exercises in the water, not just reading a book. The courses also involve a lot of snorkelling and diving in the open water, rather than in a pool.

Apnea Total is the longest-running freediving school on Koh Tao. It was founded in 2004. It started as a bungalow and now has over 20 locations worldwide. Highly qualified Instructors with many years of freediving experience teach the courses. These courses can be taken year round by beginner and advanced freedivers.

Scuba Diving School Vertical Blue

For beginners, a freediving school can be a great way to learn the sport. The Vertical Blue freediving school is run by freediver William Trubridge, who has been on top of the world podium for years. The school has a strong competition program and has hosted several competitions for its students.

The school's courses blend theory and practice for holistic learning. Students learn the physics and physiology of freediving, as well as how to harness their breath for longer freedives.
