St Lucia has many options for scuba divers. Some of the most spectacular dives can be found near the Anse Chastanet reef. These dives can be enjoyed by anyone, even those who don’t feel confident scuba diving. They can be accessed from 10 to 25 feet, and have some of most colorful corals.

Anse Chastanet Reef

Anse Chastanet, a resort on 600 acres, has two volcanic black beaches and pristine corals. There are many water sports available, including snorkeling and scuba diving. Guests can relax on the beach or enjoy complimentary guided hikes. A chocolate laboratory and an organic farm are also located on the estate.

Ansechastanet has been awarded numerous awards including five Best-of-Readers' Choice awards. This is an excellent site for both novice and experienced divers. You will find wrecks, wall dives, and boat diving in the reef. Night dives are popular on the Anse Chastanet Reef.

Dani Koyomaru

Divers who wish to dive in Saint Lucia can choose from a number of options. There are two options for divers who want to dive in Saint Lucia: Rosemond's Trench is smaller but just as impressive; or deeper waters. The site is well-known for its huge schools of tropical fish, man-sized sponges and intricate coral formations. The famous Saint Lucia underwater reef system can be viewed by diving here.

The Daini Koyomaru shipwreck is located a few miles further from the coast. In 1996, this Japanese dredger was sunk. The ship is partially submerged and the superstructure holds the wreck. There are visible inscriptions in Japanese or other languages, and upturned decks can be seen.

Dani Koyomaru dragger

The Daini Koyomaru dredged in 1996, a Japanese fishing vessel, is a fantastic wreck to dive. It's 74 meters long and about twenty-four meters tall. The dredger, which is sunken on its side now makes it a safe place for experienced divers to dive. Among its resident marine life are French angelfish, garden eels, moray eels, and barracudas.

Another popular St Lucia dive spot is the 165-foot cargo vessel Lesleen M. This Japanese dredger is also a popular one. The depths at this site are not very deep, but the reef is home a lot of fascinating creatures like scorpionfish, flying grunards, and even rays.

Soufriere Marine Management Area

Scuba diving in St Lucia's Soufriere Marine Management Area is a great way to get closer to the island's beautiful coral reefs. The marine management zone was created to preserve the area's pristine waters and support a healthy ecosystem. Its establishment was inspired by environmental degradation and conflict among resource users. SMMA's creation was made possible by conflicts between local fishermen, scuba divers, and other fisherman.

Since 2004, the Soufriere Pictons site is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is managed as an area of nature reserve, and offers some of the best diving in St Lucia. It is home to numerous coral species as well as an abundance of tropical fish. The area is known for its passage of predators and cetaceans. Divers can also observe the beautiful marine biodiversity.
