Scuba Ranger: You'll get to learn about different aquatic creatures and their habitats. Learn about underwater and surface searching techniques. These methods include using compasses as well as circle, square and grid searches. Also, you'll learn how to do various water sports such as swimming, kayaking, surfing, and more.

Advanced Scuba Rangers Program

The Advanced Scuba Rangers program allows students to advance their scuba diving skills and gain confidence in the water. Advanced Scuba Rangers will be able to participate in various underwater activities and demonstrate their skills to their friends and family. This program is great for children who love the water.

The Advanced Scuba Rangers course consists of two phases. The first phase teaches students the basics of wreck diving. They will learn how to find and prepare for wrecks in the second phase. They learn to calculate distances and navigate through different search patterns. A wreck dive is a dangerous activity that can be hazardous.

You must complete the Basic Scuba Rangers Program to become an Advanced Scuba Ranger. The program generally lasts five to seven days. The training kit, instructor fees, pool and equipment costs $350. You must be at minimum eight years of age to enroll in this program. There is also an optional ranger specialty program that can be added to the program.


Field trips to aquariums

Pre-K to high school students can enjoy educational programs at aquariums. These programs provide hands-on learning, science investigations, structured laboratory activities, and animal encounters. They are taught and supported by Next Generation Science Standards by Aquarium experts. These programs offer resources for teachers. Students can access an online course, view a live presentation or download a free resource online.

The National Aquarium is the top American aquarium. It is dedicated to providing solutions for marine life and human community protection. Students can enjoy guided tours of non-public areas as well as narrated feedings. Teachers can also take free online classes at the Aquarium and access resources like printable art and crafts. In addition, students can take a virtual tour of the Great Wall of China using Zoom technology.

A free orientation for teachers is also available to teachers. The orientation takes about 60 minutes and includes an overview of the National Aquarium and its education programs. Instructors will learn to safely use the equipment, regulators, masks, and how air-share works. They will also be taught about different marine species and how to care for equipment. After completing their orientation, students can visit the aquarium and participate in an educational program.

Rangers not only learn to dive but also learn navigation and basic underwater searching techniques. You will also learn how a compass works, as well as grid and square search techniques to find underwater treasures. These skills will be practiced in a pool. Once they have mastered each skill they can begin to learn how to swim a mile in water using their mask, fins, snorkel and snorkel. Rangers learn about basic first aid and how they can recognize signs that trouble or stress are occurring while diving.

To learn, you must perform a front or back flip under water. A second activity requires candidates to pull a face mask out of the water with their teeth, and then perform five bobs under the water.
